Abstract：As a new type of cathodic protection instrument PS－1 potentiostat has been used in long distance pipeline.In this article,the two matters about this instrument would be introduced，one is the theory of working,the other is troubl e-shooting.Especially,the author advances specific method and sequence of troubl e-shooting and explains it by the example.
